MyTAXPrepOffice  Referral Program Terms and Conditions of Use

Thank you for your interest in the MyTAXPrepOffice Referral Program. MyTAXPrepOffice is an IRS-approved, professional tax preparation software provided by Advanced Tax Solutions LLC (“Company”). When an eligible MyTAXPrepOffice User or Licensee follows the referral process to refer someone they know to MyTAXPrepOffice, and when the Referred Licensee meets certain requirements, an Amazon.com eGift Card* will be sent to the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account. This gift card can be used to shop from a selection of millions of products available on Amazon.com. In addition, if the Referred Licensee purchases a MyTAXPrepOffice plan, they will receive a discount. Please refer to the following Terms and Conditions of Use to guide your participation in the Referral Program.
 
 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
 
1. TERMINOLOGY

1.1 AMAZON.COM eGIFT CARD - An online gift card that can be used on the Amazon website

1.2 LICENSEE/LICENSEES-The person or legal entity under which the MyTAXPrepOffice license is registered

1.3 REFERRED LICENSEE - Any person or legal entity that meets the Referred User Eligibility requirements and has been referred to MyTAXPrepOffice by means of the Referral Program

1.4 REFERRER/REFERRERS - Any registered MyTAXPrepOffice User or Licensee who meets the Referrer Eligibility requirements and has referred someone they know to MyTAXPrepOffice by means of the Referral Program

1.5 REWARD/REWARDS – A discount given to a Referred Licensee, and/or an Amazon.com eGift Card given to the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account

1.6 USER/USERS - Any person who uses MyTAXPrepOffice in behalf of the person or legal entity under which the MyTAXPrepOffice account is registered

2. REFERRER ELIGIBILITY

To be an eligible Referrer, the following conditions must be met:

a. The Referrer must be an active MyTAXPrepOffice User or Licensee connected to a paying MyTAXPrepOffice account;

b. The Referrer must not be employed by the same entity as the Referred Licensee; and

c. The Referrer must not be an Advanced Tax Solutions LLC employee or contractor.

3. REFERRED LICENSEE ELIGIBILITY

To be an eligible Referred Licensee, the following conditions must be met:

a. The Referred Licensee must not have any other MyTAXPrepOffice accounts (including active, expired, canceled, or trial accounts) and must not be working for an entity associated with any other MyTAXPrepOffice accounts (also including active, expired, canceled, or trial accounts);

b. The Referred Licensee must have participated in the referral process outlined in Section 4.1 of this document within 30 days of receiving the referral;

c. The Referred Licensee must be trained, completely set up (i.e. company and EFIN information has been entered into the software application, the verification process has been completed, and, if applicable, the Referred Licensee has uploaded their EFIN Letter), and have fully paid for their MyTAXPrepOffice purchase;

d. Other Users on the Referred Licensee’s MyTAXPrepOffice account must not be connected to any other MyTAXPrepOffice account (also including active, expired, canceled, or trial accounts); and

e. The Referred Licensee must have a different IP address from the Referrer and any other MyTAXPrepOffice User (whether current or previous) when the Referred Licensee registers.

4. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

4.1 PROCESS - When Referrers would like to suggest MyTAXPrepOffice to others, they can follow the process below:

1. Go to www.mytaxprepoffice.com/pricing/referral-program  or call 307.414.1211.

2. Fill out the form with the name, phone number, and email address of the person or entity you would like to refer.

3. The Referred Licensee will then receive an email and a phone call. If the Referred Licensee acts on the referral within 30 days, they will automatically receive their discount upon purchasing a MyTAXPrepOffice plan.

4. After the Referred Licensee is trained, completely set up (i.e. company and EFIN information has been entered into the software application, the verification process has been completed, and, if applicable, the Referred Licensee has uploaded their EFIN Letter), and has fully paid for their MyTAXPrepOffice purchase, the Licensee registered on the Referrer’s account will be notified that the Referred Licensee has purchased.

5. After the Referred Licensee’s refund request period has ended, and if neither the Referrer nor the Referred Licensee have canceled their account or requested a refund, the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s MyTAXPrepOffice account will receive an email with a link to claim their Amazon.com eGift Card. The email will be sent to the email address provided to MyTAXPrepOffice by the Licensee.

4.2 REWARDS - Reward amounts are based solely on the Referred Licensee’s purchase of a MyTAXPrepOffice plan. Plan upgrades, additional users, additional storage, and remote signatures are not eligible for rewards. The following Rewards are available by participating in the Referral Program:

a. If the Referred Licensee purchases the Individual Pro Plan, the Referred Licensee will receive a 25% discount, and the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account will receive an Amazon.com eGift Card with a maximum value of $50. The Amazon eGift Card will by no means exceed 20% of the purchase price;

b. If the Referred Licensee purchases the Essential Plan, the Referred Licensee will receive a 25% discount, and the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account will receive an Amazon.com eGift Card with a maximum value of $100. The Amazon eGift Card will by no means exceed 20% of the purchase price;

c. If the Referred Licensee purchases the Unlimited Plan, the Referred Licensee will receive a 25% discount, and the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account will receive an Amazon.com eGift Card with a maximum value of $150. The Amazon eGift Card will by no means exceed 20% of the purchase price;

d. If the Referred Licensee receives a MyTAXPrepOffice account free of charge, the Referred Licensee will not receive a discount, and the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account will not receive an Amazon eGift Card.

5. CONDITIONS

The following conditions apply to the Referral Program:

a. Rewards can only be claimed by following the process in Section 4.1 of this document;

b. While any eligible MyTAXPrepOffice User or Licensee may participate in the referral process, the Reward will only be sent to the Licensee listed on the Referrer’s account;

c. The Referrer must only refer friends, family, or acquaintances;

d. The Referral Program must not be marketed by MyTAXPrepOffice Users or Licensees, nor may they use it for commercial purposes;

e. If the Referred Licensee does not participate in the referral process within 30 days of receiving a referral, no Rewards for that referral may be claimed;

f. If, in the 30 days between being referred and starting participation in the referral process, the Referred Licensee receives referrals from other Referrers, the Referred Licensee will choose which referral resulted in their purchase of MyTAXPrepOffice; and

g. If the Referrer or the Referred Licensee cancels their account and/or payment before completing the referral process, and/or if the Referrer or Referred Licensee makes any requests for a refund during their refund period, no Rewards may be claimed.

6. AGREEMENTS

Referrers, Licensees listed on the Referrer’s account, and Referred Licensees agree:

a. That the Company reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time;

b. That the Company reserves the right to review, investigate, suspend, or cancel any Reward as deemed fair;

c. That the Company reserves the right to cancel, change, or suspend the Referral Program at any time;

d. That the Company is not responsible for any incorrect information entered by the Referrer;

e. That Licensees listed on the Referrer’s account and Referred Licensees are solely responsible for all taxes and fees resulting from the Rewards;

f. To send referrals only to friends, family, and/or acquaintances, and not to engage in any acts that may be considered to be spamming or acts considered to be fraudulent or invasive;

g. To follow all commercial and public anti-bribery laws that apply; and

h. To release the Company, its employees, and its contractors from all liability with respect to the Referral Program, without limitation.
